He served as a Treasurer at Washington Trust BanCorp Inc. and The Washington Trust Company since 1997 until 2008. He served as Senior Vice President of The Washington Trust Company since 1990. He served with KPMG in Providence from 1976 to 1986. He joined The Washington Trust Company in 1986 as Controller. He serves as a Secretary and Director of Providence Chapter of Financial Executives International. He serves as the Chairman of the Rhode Island State Alliance of YMCAs. He served as Chairman of the Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA. He served as a Trustee at The Westerly Hospital. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1978. Mr. Devault graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1976.
