Been at Werner for about a year now. I went right from training to a dedicated fleet. Things are pretty smooth for the most part with the shipper. They tend to never hit target load times though. The one thing I will say from my experience only going to werner terminals are terrible experiences.
What makes you most happy at work?
Knowing I get compensated fairly for my hard work.
What did you like most about the interview process?
I was upfront with what I was looking for and they were upfront with what they had to offer
What are some of the best things about your team?
Other drivers on my fleet always willing to help each other out no one seems to be all about themselves from what I have experienced so far.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Decision to run in bad weather is drivers call. No one ever pressures anyone to run if you don't think it's safe. I do sometimes feel like a number but then I think to myself it's hard when you are working for such a large company to no feel that way sometimes.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I Iike being on a fleet with a guarantee especially now with how long repairs are taking. I feel that I could make more per mile elsewhere but I like my situation and tbh the grass is not always greener. If you stick around you will reach fleet maximum in a couple years I am told. Thats good to know
What do you like best about the leadership team?
The miles are there if you want to run. They could be a little more hands-on about getting repairs done faster when a truck is down. Having to go to the terminal for anything is never a fun thing you never know what hoops you will have to jump through to get out. It's a shame they should be invitin
