He served as an Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing and President of Branded Business for Hitachi Global Storage Technologies Inc. from April 2009 to July 25, 2012. Mr. Cordon led the Hitachi GST external storage business as well as HGST worldwide sales and marketing organizations. He co-founded Fabrik, Inc. in 2005 and served as its Chief Executive Officer. He is a 20-year veteran of the storage industry. He served as an Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales and Marketing for Maxtor Corporation from August 2001 to February 11, 2005. He served as an Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing of HGST, Inc. since April 2009. From August 1999 to August 2001, he served as Maxtor Corp.'s Vice President, Worldwide Sales. From 1998 to August 1999, he held the position of Vice President, Global Sales of Maxtor Corp. Prior to joining Maxtor Corp. in 1994, Mr. Cordano held various sales positions at Conner Peripherals Inc., a disk drive company. He formed and managed the branded products business unit, creating strong product categories such as the Maxtor OneTouch external storage and backup solution, which ultimately defined the category and broke the technology barrier for mass consumer adoption. His background also includes several regional and international management assignments. He served as a Director of Fabrik, Inc. Mr. Cordon has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Colorado.
