Ms. Lynette Elizabeth Cobley, also known as Lyn, BEc, SF FIN, GAICD, has been Group Chief Executive of Westpac Institutional Bank at Westpac Banking Corporation since September 07, 2015. Ms. Cobley has responsibility for Westpac's global relationships with corporate, institutional and government clients as well as all products across financial and capital markets, transactional banking, structured finance and working capital payments. She oversees Hastings Funds Management, global treasury as well as Westpac's International and Pacific Island businesses. Prior to joining Westpac, Ms. Cobley held a variety of senior positions at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) and served as its Executive General Manager of Retail Products & Third Party Banking. She served as the Chief Executive Officer of Tradingroom (a JV between Macquarie Bank and Fairfax). Ms. Cobley served as Executive General Manager of Retail Products and Customers at Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA). Ms. Cobley served as Treasurer of Commonwealth Bank of Australia from August 2007 to 2013 and also served as its Executive General Manager of Balance Sheet Management. Ms Cobley held a number of senior positions since joining CBA in 2007 and served as its Head of Balance Sheet Management, where she implemented a new economic capital framework, as well as managed the Group's regulatory capital and funds transfer pricing. She also served as CBA's Head of Securitisation from 1997 to 1999. Ms. Cobley was responsible for the bank's balance sheet management encompassing all funding and liquidity operations, capital management and asset-liability management activities. Prior to joining the bank, Ms. Cobley spent over 20 years working in the Australian financial markets obtaining extensive experience in investment banking, structured finance and treasury operations. From 2002 to 2005, Ms. Cobley served as Head of Financial Institutions, Australia, for Barclays Capital. She also held senior positions at Citibank, including Head of Securitisation from 1990 to 1997. She commenced her career with Ernst & Young. Ms. Cobley serves as a Director of Colonial First State Asset Management (Australia) Limited. She served as a Non-Executive Director at Colonial Holding Company Limited from June 2007 to March 6, 2014. In 2010 and 2011, Ms Cobley was voted Treasurer of the Year, Kanganews. In 2012 she was nominated as one of Australia's Top 100 Women of Influence and in the same year, won an inaugural Insto magazine award for the Advancement of Women in Banking & Finance. She is a Senior Associate of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Ms. Cobley has a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University. She is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
