Mr. Mark Richard Freeman, CFA serves as an Executive Vice President, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager at Westwood Management Corp. Mr. Freeman has been the Chief Investment Officer, Executive Vice President since February 10, 2012 and Senior Portfolio Manager since January 2011 at Westwood Holdings Group Inc., where he oversees its investment and research functions. He is responsible for developing Westwood's economic outlook. Mr. Freeman joined Westwood Holdings Group Inc. in July 18, 2006 and served as its Co-Chief Investment Officer from January 2011 to February 10, 2012, Senior Vice President from July 18, 2006 to December 2010 and Portfolio Manager from July 2000 to December 2010. Prior to joining Westwood in 1999, he worked for KPMG and First American Corp., as Senior Economist and Fixed Income Strategist. Mr. Freeman began his career with the U.S. Peace Corps where he served as a Program Director for two years in Togo, West Africa. He is a member of the Board of Trustees at Millsaps College, serves as a board member for the Wilson Fund and participates in several local charity organizations. Mr. Freeman achieved the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst in 1998. He is a member of the American Economic Association, the CFA Institute and the Dallas Society of Financial Analysts. Mr. Freeman received an M.S. in Economics from Louisiana State University and graduated Cum Laude from Millsaps College, where he was a United Methodist Bicentennial Scholar, with a B.A. in Economics.
