Ms. Kathleen M. Boege, also known as Kate, has been an Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Wintrust Financial Corporation since September 2015. Ms. Boege served as General Counsel and Secretary of FreightCar America, Inc. from January 14, 2013 to September 4, 2015. Prior to FreightCar America, Ms. Boege served as the Chief Administrative Officer, General Counsel and Secretary of Bally Total Fitness Corporation, an owner of fitness clubs. She first joined Bally in February 2007 as Vice President, Associate General Counsel and Assistant Secretary and subsequently served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel from January 2008 to July 2011 and Interim Senior Vice President of Human Resources from April 2009 to March 2010. Prior to Bally, Ms. Boege served as Vice President, Assistant Secretary and Associate General Counsel of Chicago Stock Exchange, Inc. She practiced business law in Chicago at Jones Day and Wildman, Harrold, Allen & Dixon. She has a Bachelor's Degree in English from Northwestern University and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Law.
