Sreenath Venkappiah — Senior Vice President of India at Wipro Limited

Mr. Sreenath A. Venkappiah has been Senior Vice President of India of Wipro Limited since April 10, 2017. Mr. Venkappiah served as the Business Head of Business Solutions Division and Vice President of Wipro Ltd until April 10, 2017. Mr. Venkappiah is responsible for strategy, sales and operations for IT Services offerings of Oracle applications. His approach centers on helping the organization achieve business results through differentiating initiatives like - developing industry solutions, redefining service delivery models, building strategic partnerships, transformational changes in the operational efficiency, people collaboration and engagement. He served as Vice President & BU Head - Applications Business for India & ME. He has vast experience of building strategic new initiatives and offerings as well as driving scalable, profitable and sustainable businesses in India, ASEAN and APAC & Middle East. He played a major role in driving tremendous growth in Applications business across verticals and Geographies and successfully transformed the business to high growth trajectory. He has over 26 years of industry experience. He joined Wipro Infotech's Manufacturing Vertical in December 2002 as a Practice Head for Manufacturing. He went on to become the General Manager - Enterprise Sales in Business Solutions Division. Later, as the Business Solutions Division Sales Head, he spearheaded several significant wins in the Applications business across verticals in Energy & Utilities, Banking, Telecom, Manufacturing and Transportation. He served as the Head of the Industrial Automation Practice at Kshema Technologies - a part of Mphasis group. He was with ABB Ltd where he spent 11 yrs. His interests beyond office are social work and long journeys. He is a BE in Electronics and Communication from UVCE. He is also PMP Certified.
