Zinio's Frequently Asked Questions page is a central hub where its customers can always go to with their most common questions. These are the 105 most popular questions Zinio receives.
With the launch of the latest ZINIO mobile apps and desktop reader, previous versions will be discontinued. Previous versions include:
iOS and Android app versions 4.0 or earlier

Win8
Please note that we can no longer guarantee stability or support for these discontinued versions. As new issues will not be available on discontinued versions, to continue to enjoy new issues of your subscriptions and your favourite magazines please upgrade to new Desktop Reader (which supports on and offline reading) or you can also read on zinio.com and Android or iOS apps V4.1 and above.
If you have already upgraded, no further action is needed.
With this update, we will continue to add new features and functionality to enhance your online and offline reading. However, there are a few limitations as a result of this upgrade:
Bookmarks from previous versions will not transfer to the new version
Your magazine library will require a one-time re-download of stored issues and a re-archive of hidden issues

When checking out RB digital magazines, Patrons are reporting that these do not appear in ZINIO apps or website (they appear immediately in RB Digital Apps). We have reported this issue to Recorded Books, we understand that they are investigating how to provide this feature on their new platform and are waiting for an estimated resolution time.

View ArticleIf you need to restore your device to factory settings (or due to an app upgrade) then it is possible to restore iTunes guest purchases. To do this:
Firstly double check that you are logged into the correct iTunes accountand you have purchased a magazineunder that Apple ID
In the app go toAccount>Restore iTunes Purchases
TapRestore
Please then go to Preferences > Sync your Library > Sync Now
Go toReadand you should be able todownloadyour issues.
If this is not the case, please close the application and open it again to make sure theReadmenu reflects the latest information.

Double check that you have an active subscription. After completing the above checks please send us a receipt for this subscription including start and finish dates.

iOS BROWSERS
Safari
PWA supported and tested.Nevertheless we temporarily turned it off until stakeholders make a decision because Safari has a storage limitation of 50MB and that is not enough to download even one magazine.
iPhone and iPad don't allow PWA to work on any browser except their native Safari browser. Since we are switching it off on Safari due to the limitations mentioned above, that means PWA is not available on iPhones and iPads as per today.
View ArticleTo access you Zinio Accountthrough your Kindle Fire ensure you follow the instructions below from your Kindle Fire Device.
Go to Settings (From the home screen of your device, put your finger on the top of the screen and swipe down to see the Settings option)
Go to Applications
Go to Apps from Unknown Sources (allow installation of apps that are not from the Appstore) > Select On
Click to Download the Zinio app APK (Ensure you tap on the link directly from your Kindle Fire)
To open and install the download, open the browser's menu and click on "Downloads", you should see the Zinio file on this list. Once the download is complete, tap the file and select "Install" and then press "Open" when the installation is complete.
You're all set!
You can check which publications are compatible with your device by going to www.zinio.com and searching for the title. Each title lists the platforms that it's compatible with. Keep in mind that there are restrictions on adult publications.

Let us know what email addresses your accounts are registered to and clearly state which email address you prefer as your master Zinio login. Once merged, you will be able to view all your magazines.

The Text View > This is more like a worddocument (with pictures) allowing the reader to resize text and change between day and night mode, which may be more comfortable on smaller mobile devices
TO SWITCH BETWEEN PDF AND TEXT VIEW
Open a publication
When turning pages if an article pop up appears ( if enabled ) this indicates that a text view is available for this article. Tap on the pop up to switch to text view (this can be turned on or off in the preferences )
Open a publication
OR
Select a page with at least one article (i.e. not just pictures or adverts)
Tap once on the page to show the navigationtools

View ArticleIf you are unable to see your adult magazines from your library, please check if the Zinio app or Zinio website is in a restricted International Store.
Note that some restrictions may apply in certain countries (e.g. Singapore and China). In order to be able to see adult magazines, you will need to change the International Store to an unrestricted country.
