BP has a crippling toxic culture undoubtedly!! Promotions and performance reviews are based on "managing upwards" creating a "cult like" organisation. Seriously disturbing breaches of employee welfare occur often, read reviews from past employees. Yes, they are bitter but it is rightly justified.

Basic employee respect! Really it is simple yet so many "leaders" at bp fail at basic human decency. It is almost a prerequisite that you need zero empathy to be a leader at bp! Absolutely disturbing.

The "cut throat" nature of oil and gas permiates uncontrolled manner at bp. Consulting and other contracting companies are shocked by this. The "Deepwater Horizon" incident didn't come from no where. Deep seated cultural issues are still present at bp.

Complete evaluation of middle management, during "bp reinvent" so much focus was spent on the top half of organisation that the remainder e.g. vast majority of employees were simply left behind. There has been so much talent leakage from bp over the last few years... Seriously ask Why?
