Be honest with vacation and expectations. Be honest about cutting their territory and giving them nothing in return. BE HONEST and ETHICAL with their employees and customers.
Realize that a remote employee has different needs. Listening to concerns and opportunities. The training is horrible. The compensation program requires a CPA to keep track of commissions. The company is deceptive with customers and does not care about exceeding their expectations.
Give the Service Representatives more control over their territories. If they do very well create a position of Area Manager and split their territory while providing small ongoing commissions to them while allowing them to manage the people within their area. This creates continuity and stability
Caring about the safety of their own employees. Their Sales efforts are dysfunctional with no overall direction. The result is many new customers which do no fit the model of a profitable FAS customers. Their products are sold on features not benefits. Their business model needs major rework.
Knowing that my territory cannot be taken away from me after I successfully grow it. As a "remote" individual being forced to drive and work 14-18hrs a day. Being told I am being paid not to think...how disgusting! I can tell you from experience that the next best idea can come from anyone.
