I have enjoyed interacting with co-workers in meetings and collaborative efforts. Most are very willing to help but due to the loss of the employees with the knowledge there are fewer and fewer people to reach out to for help.
Berating employees and threating their time off, spinning holiday and floating holiday loss as no big deal because Gainwell gives unlimited time off is a sell job employees aren't buying. Thankfully I haven't been refused time off yet but I get a team email weekly that holidays are doubtful.
The issue with gainwell is the management. I hear the CEO talk about how they won't accept a hostile work place but that is exactly what it is. Several people on my team have either resigned or are actively interviewing. The OH project was in a ditch when I started.
The email from management that is sent weekly is you are expected to work 10-12 hours daily because of the amount of work. Sadly the company is losing their knowledge base as the employees who have been here for years are leaving because they have been working 12 hours a day with no time off!
The job I was offered and the reality of the position are on different ends of a spectrum. Since I started holidays and floating holidays have been a carrot and many on the team haven't been allowed to take holidays. The company spin on these is that you get unlimited pto so it doesn't matter! LOL
