WGU fails to take constructive criticism from anyone who is not a high-level executive. Employees feel unheard, lied to, and like they are only peons because of this. Morale is consistantly getting lower, pay isn't great compared to the industry, and attrition has been a real problem.

We are no longer given consistent bonuses, and annual adjustments rarely make up for cost of living increases. If you are trying to live off of base pay only, it is hard to survive and support a family.

Morale, trust issues, pay disparities, and attrition are some of the biggest issues. Senior managenemt needs to be able to address these issues before any changes can be made. Ask the employees for their input to truly understand what is going on.

Be transparent! Dont lie and take accountability for mistakes, instead of blaming it on the rest of the university. Listen to the employees and their needs and desires-- just because you want something doesnt mean that a majority of the university wants that also. Use your power wisely.

Higher level leaders either need to be replaced or they need to start making changes to actually live up to our vision and values. Toxicity comes from the top, so it needs to be addressed first before any true changes can be made to improve morale, trust, and performance.
