The work is endless, pay is just ok (the 2.5% annual raises keep up with inflation, barely). If Amica really wants to attract - and keep - the best & the brightest they need to pay more.

The employees on my team are tired & worn out. Week after week of more re-assignments from people that recently quit. We'd get along better if we actually had time to talk to each other instead of taking endless phone calls.

Amica's strength was being great at being a preferred risk company. The UW guidelines were loosened (or just ignored, depending on the day) and the loss ratio shows it. Tighten up the underwriting & stop being afraid of saying "no" to customers every now and then.

For starters it would be great if Home Office would acknowledge to the front line workers that there is an enormous staffing shortage. That would be painful, yes, but being transparent with the employees would be a step towards gaining our trust back (and we currently have very little trust).

Home Office needs to figure out why a huge # of emplyees are quitting (and why everyone is suddenly retiring). For far too long Amica has been reactive, not proactive, at employee engagement. For example, why did It take until 2021 for Amica to permit employees to wear jeans to work?
