When I got hired on, it was almost right away. My resume looked good and I fit right in. I knew it was where I would like to be.

The owners individually, are great people and probably the nicest bosses I've ever worked for and most places have done christmas parties but they really went the mile to make it nice for us last year.

I feel like I'm doing something that helps people, making fresh food available to people at prices you don't find anywhere else in town. I like when I'm heard by upper management when there's a problem but sometimes we're just told to deal with it. The people are friendly, though.

We're paid minimum wage even though we've been there for years. Seniority means nothing and these newbies don't even pull their weight. They come in for a paycheck and we break our backs doing the actual labor to keep things running without any recognition for it. We're treated like minimum wagers.

I have worked at a lot of places, in the management department as close to store manager, and across a variety of food/grocery places, becoming servsafe certified to work in kitchens. I am a manager at our local grocery outlet in most of the departments but go by person in charge. It could use work.

The team as a whole does the best they can with the way times are now. With the wage laws....with people being allowed to bring their pets into the store without us saying anything about it but still have to clean up the mess and can't even have the privacy to rant on our own fb for keeping face.
