If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Sharp HealthCare?
There are many in Senior Leadership that have been with Sharp for 20+ years. That experience is extremely valuable. Sometimes, however, new thoughts and ideas from employees are not heard. Need to stay current with what is happening in the industry, not just what has always been done at Sharp.
Provide more opportunities for development. Internal candidates are not always groomed for growth or are often overlooked.
What does the ideal candidate in the HR department look like at Sharp HealthCare?
Need to be very well versed in Employment Laws and Labor Relations. Team player and able to work in a fast environment. Able to handle multiple complex employee relations issues while maintaining a calm, caring manner. Understand that in a "Hospital System" environment, changes to policies/procedures/job descriptions/processes, etc. can take a long time to be changed since have to be run through several committees and Senior Leadership - need to handle this frustration professionally.
How's the vacation policy at Sharp HealthCare?
Very generous PTO and sick plan. Some departments are more flexible than others when it comes to allowing people to use their hours.
