The ESOP is pretty great.
We are all remote, but we meet briefly each day to touch base, apprise each other of our work progress, and find some common culture. Its great.
They are good communicators, but they also are approachable and listen earnestly. I feel they have alignment between what's best for the company and what's best for employee owners. The growth of the company has been impressive, moreso when considering such a positive work/life balance.
There is somehow an inherent trust in each other that is just part of the culture. We're entrusted to do our job, at a rational pace. We do it, and expect the same of others. The culture promotes not overpromising, nit overextending. Nor does it promote slacking. Its just well balanced.
Knowing the company has good people. Sometimes an employee will have a qualifying condition that requires leave and they've exhausted all of their accrued leave. Just today i donated hours, anonymously, to a coworker in need. When the call goes out, the request is fulfilled in less than 5 min. Wow.
