Experience will vary based on your team and project. First team i worked wirh, everyone bought in, my manager and team lead was very involved and supportive. My second team was the exact opposite. Manager seemed always disconnected from the work we were doing, and not eveey team member was dedicated
Advancement opportunities will not be happening unless you are hired on for them specifically. Nepotism rams rampant, a "good ole boy" system is strongly in place. Managers well and are known to retaliate if you go to HR about any of your grievances.
