In 2020, customers no longer respond to cold calls or impersonal e-mails, and it takes much smarter, more modern methods of marketing to truly resonate with today’s savvy audience. Comparably’s new suite of marketing solutions offers users a variety of tools that can help marketers expand organic reach 10x and maximize the effects of Social Selling and Employee Advocacy, enabling a bedrock of trust for future customers. Employees often have far more vast and varied social networks than individual company brand accounts do. According to market studies, leads developed through employee social marketing convert 7x more frequently than other leads. And content shared by employees receives 8X more engagement than content shared by brand channels.
Comparably’s Social Selling tool is available for use within either Slack or Microsoft Teams. For the purposes of this tutorial, we’ll use Slack.

Once shared with the team on Slack, employees can easily share any piece of content (article, PDF, or image) to Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn with a single button.

To begin, share a piece on content with all the members of a Slack channel, using the special “share page” command.

The sharable content will be accessible to your team members to promote on with title, image, and description already filled in.

The app includes features designed to encourage employee participation. A tally at the bottom of the post will appear on Slack, highlighting the percentage of team members who have participated as well as several of their names.

A click of the “see all users” button gives a complete list of team members who have shared the post so far.

Team members who haven’t shared the piece yet will privately receive a reminder notice on Slack after 15 and 30 minutes.

The Social Selling tool can work beautifully in concert with tools from Comparably’s recruitment marketing library, such as our Customizable Social Media Assets. A user can generate content there that can be shared in the way described above.
