Overall positive, but the organization has grown rapidly and systems and decision-making processes have not kept up.
I am totally aligned with the mission and enjoy my role within the organization. But growth is being prioritized at the expense of the current workforce and not enough attention is being paid to whether we are achieving the impact that we need to be.
Good health insurance and plentiful paid vacation/holidays
Shared mission provides a strong team culture.
Most people genuinely care about their colleagues.
Supportive, friendly, kind and committed to our cause.
Excellent health care benefits and generous paid time off.
Mission-driven, collaborative, compassionate, motivated, smart.
Data-driven decision-making and meaningful delegation of authority wherever possible.
Very good quality health insurance and lots of vacation time.
People are passionate about our mission and supportive of each other.
Staff are all mission-driven, kind and generally supportive of each other.
Rapid growth of the organization has outstripped the current management capacity/style.
The chance to meet at least several people during the process.
The leadership team has offered a great deal of flexibility to staff juggling work, family care and other obligations during the pandemic.
Pandemic WFH for a year plus makes it hard to stay motivated some days. Return to workplace, in person interactions should help.
Setting overall direction for the organization and the appropriate program /operational goals to support that direction. And then actually stick to the goals and hold leaders accountable for achieving them.
The organization has been undergoing tremendous growth for years and the leadership is most focused on bringing new staff in than on training and cultivating the staff who are already here. They should slow down hiring, train the people they have, and focus on retaining the talent already here.
