Leadership team shows it cares about all staff and works to be fair, just and transparent.
Our leadership team is all female.
The employees are top of mind
Our leadership team tries to be responsive to different concerns our employees have and to promote thoughtful strategies for the organization's growth and development.
Care about the employees wellbeing
The leadership at Ceres needs to get better at actually engaging with staff and not only talking to top-level managers. They need to be able to take constructive feedback better without taking it personally.
Data-driven decision-making and meaningful delegation of authority wherever possible.
Summer Fridays and the week off between Christmas and New Years on top of our normal PTO and Sick time.
lots of unique benefits - health and wellness, etc.
Summer Fridays, $2000 stipend quarterly for employee use, benefits for office equipment like headphones and chairs, one week off over Christmas and New Year's in addition to our vacation time
Robust time off and vaca
Summer Fridays (half days in July and August) are a great comp during the summer.
Compensation should be higher and more in line with peer organizations. Health insurance benefits are touted as "excellent" but are expensive and do not cover routine doctors' visits outside a single physical a year. Time off could be better with the pay being so low.
Ceres rewards hard workers with more work but no additional compensation. Staff across the organization are often tasked with work outside of their responsibillites
Entry level pay may be competitive with other non-profits but that's not a high bar.
Junior staff are underpaid compared to other comparable NGOs.
Review from Product Dept
Salary is low compared to other environmental organization. Increase in compensation, pathway to promotion is created, equity in team reorganization/mid-year promotion, and transparency on pay increase/promotion decisions.

The company is growing at an unsustainable rate and employees are not feeling supported by the organization at large. Leadership and decision making bodies have become unclear and creates confusion when decisions need to be made.
There were layers of interviews from the program leader down to would be teammates. This offered the ability to understand the various work roles and get a sense of what to expect day one.

The people that I work with
making tangible progress toward our mission
making a tangible impact in the world for the better
Rapid growth of the organization has outstripped the current management capacity/style.
Our leadership cannot make decisions. They foolishly added a bureaucratic layer of VPs thinking that would help. Instead, it created another layer of management with no clear mandate. Then, they consolidated teams under a COO that many staff don't enjoy working with.
