They should allow medical marijuana
depending on the industry, I think it's perfectly fine to test.
The depends on the job, and the habit. I don't believe anyone should come under the influence of illegal drug.
It is ridiculous unless someone being on drugs could have a serious negative impact (ie driving heavy machinery). If someone is performing/exceeding expectations, who cares if they smoke pot?
Agree with testing. Even if legal you don’t want people out of it at work.
I don't think it's necessary now and is a waste of everyone's time.
It's becoming a more and more tricky situation all the time as more states legalize drug Sands as a society we are becoming more supportive of both prescription and non-prescription drugs.
It is an antiquated practice with no useful application. The line between prescription medications and once-scheduled substances is so fine that classifying use inevitably will run along socio-economic lines -- those with access to health care will be on prescribed medications and those without health care may be self medicating with very similar substances.
I think it is stupid because 99 percent of people take some sort of legal or illegal drug anyways, so what’s the point ? Jus do the interview and ask them, I can spot a drug user from a mile away but it doesn’t mean that’s a bad thing. Drugs helps. Adderall.xanax. Think about it
Unless it is in a skilled position where safety is of the utmost concern then I think it has no place in modern business.
I think it depends on the job tasks. If you will be using heavy equipment or machines, or be driving company owned vehicles, then you should be subject to testing.
