Not much, but social media could help for remote co-worker, where one will meet on annual day function
Not at all. Similar to playing solitaire on your lap top, can get obsessed with social media to the detriment of your job and fiduciary responsibility to your employer.
Quite bluntly - I don't. Doing so can possibly provide more information to current/prospective employers - and that information may not always cast you in a positive light.
I do not interact with coworkers on social media. I don't want them knowing everything about me that I may be sharing with family and close friends. IF I were to decide to connect with co-workers through social media I would set up an entirely different account and have it secured and monitor it accordingly.
Not involved at all. May the Lord forgive my temporary pride but my current co-workers are not the kind you want to be associated with, most of them are foreign-born and have no intention of assimilating and come from non-Western Civilized societies. But diversity and multiculturalism & political correctness, cultural marxism, perceived victimhood are the current fad.
Not a good idea. I do not get involved with current coworkers or direct reports on Social Media. I do interact with them when I'm no longer at a current company to stay in touch.
I am LinkedIn with most of my coworkers. There are very few of my coworkers that I am friends on Facebook or instagram.
