Having good IT people and well running equipment is more important.
Yes and no. A nap is great, the problem is people not abusing it.
Great idea
it's not a good idea. when you sleep during the day for one it makes it harder to sleep at night. Do something restful on your break but don't nap- read or listen to music. these will calm you and relax you without disrupting you rnatural sleep schedule.
"The jury is still out." As long as the practice is not being used to overcommit an understaffed workforce, I'm willing to try it -- need some precautions & rules in place, though.
They own their company. They can provide what they'd like. I do not happen to believe it improves productivity. I don't believe the evidence for this is concrete.
It can. But I dont feel it makes me way more productive. It can if you have to make long 10+ hour days and are programming. For a normal 8 hour day I dont see the benefit
I think that's different i'm not sure what I think of it
Absolutely, i have never worked in one, but i closed my office and nap for 20-25 minutes, and run the afternoon like a Marvel Superhero
Depending on the company, how long employees can nap, how often they can nap and work shifts/schedules it could be helpful.
Yes! Mid-afternoon, after lunch, my focus is distracted and I'm sluggish. I often struggle to re-gain the level of productivity I had before lunch. A short 15-20 min nap has in the past helped refresh me, then I feel prepared to transition to work.
Life balance is important. Physical or mental resting will all ways improve your performance for the long haul.
