It truly depends on the situation of the growth. Some things need time to mature whilst other things can handle "fly by the seat of the pants" situations.

It doesn’t cause a problem as long as top management appreciates and rewards the rank and file for their work vs only rewarding top management for the achievement. If only top management is rewarded, the culture becomes classic corporate America: the top 1% reap all the benefits.

From my experience, rapid growth may change a culture for the worse as it becomes more challenging to juggle the duties and responsibilities, and restructuring, downsizing and reduction in workforce may occur.

For the worse. We are currently going through a reorganization and hiring new people and a lot of work shifting that is happening which is creating lots of low moral, confusion and problems. Mangment isn’t working with employees to understand the issues and going on as nothing is happening.
growth can create a strong sense of excitement for the success of the company, but if the right processes/infrastructure isn't in place the growth can cause major issues which tends to burn out employees who have to deal with the issues that could have been avoided with the proper resources to handle the growth
