Absolutely not. It is just like the question of hiring someone based on skin color.

In a field like pharma sales or modeling, I get it. Everywhere else it's not okay, but only if there is truly not a difference between the 2 candidates.

It depends... if a company needs a store front image for better looking people, it would not be a biased move. However, better looking people are not always good performers or dependable.

Of course; it's a subjective thing anyway.

Don't know if it is okay or not, but it is just a fact that certain looks or body types are going to perform better in certain positions or fields.

It's totally up to the employer who they want to hire. If they want looks over talent it's up to them; so I'd say any position or field.

    Yes, in outside sales

It depends on the brand and the sort of aesthetic it wants to create on a customer-facing level. If the looks of a worker directly tie into key attributes/qualities of the brand then it is acceptable practice.

Yes. An extreme example is movie making where hiring more attractive people is directly tied to box-office success. One could argue that any position where an employee is going to be interacting or at least highly visible to people from outside the company is one where their attractiveness is a valid factor in the overall success of the company.

Of course. Anything pertaining to presentation, skews toward "better looking" people. This includes spokespersons, models, sales people and the like. If you deny this, you deny the historic record, scientifically proven social dynamics and reality itself.
