This is something that I'm currently trying to develop for safety training purposes. Training individuals on hazard recognition without putting them in harm's way has traditionally been relegated to classrooms - which can be dry and many participants consider it a chore rather than something that benefits them. AR/VR applications can take this training, make it more interactive, and way more relevant to their specific workplaces as you can design instruction around the actual spaces they're in. The construction industry is already employing AR to a small degree - mostly in the planning and early building phases.
You can digitally share a room without sharing a room. You can view the same drawings and real experiences without being in the same place. Imagine and actual team standup while your team is across three different continents, but in the same room, face to face. Imagine a 0 cost way to decorate your office any way you want to. These are the ideas that keep me up at night...
