    I would remind them of the experience (both work experience and life experience) they bring. Reaffirming their value by focusing on their experience as opposed to their age is a great way to motivate them.

    Depends on who they are and who they are pals with, here it is either they can do (nothing at all, or have others do & cover their jobs) and say whatever they want (racist, bigoted, sexist,) and we are to lie, defend, deny & protect them at all costs. Others who are not chosen by the higher-ups are yelled, cussed at for the most minor indiscretion or not getting things done quick enough & their jobs threatened or told if they can't do their jobs they should just quit.

    Depends on the age, but something I've found is that with older employees, the personal connection is really important. If they care about you and the team, they are much more invested in doing their part to help. Along with that is making sure that the goals are tasks are clearly translated to things they care about. If an employee is really just looking for something interesting and not necessarily cares about the business performance. Tie new changes and directions back to exciting new learning, or work with other teams. Find a way to make it part of something they care about. Older employees are often less driven by career growth or money, every hour they work is money in the bank. They aren't usually banking on a promotion to bump their stock or savings, so appealing to them emotionally and subjectively is often more effective.

    Older employees just need to be treated fairly and given the tools they need to do their jobs. The older employees' work ethic is above and beyond what is seen in the younger employees.

    Recognize their experience and knowledge and make sure they know the value they add. Pair them with a newer employee and encourage them to mentor and share what they have know and learned in their experience.

    We should be looking to motivate people with interesting work, a meaningful mission and a supportive, fun environment, regardless of age.

    I don't believe in segmenting people by age. It should be done by experience and abilities.
