Middle management is the problem. Upper management verbally appeals to the idea of restoring the "Bandag Magic". However, the middle/lower management is a cluster of negativity and 'boss' mentality management style that is greatly affecting my (and others) work ethics.
For the most part my coworkers still have fire, still have drive. They're men and women from the old times, a decade ago or better, who cling to the hope that olden day Bandag values will one day be restored.
Undervalued is an understatement. Each year more and more is expected and demanded, though the organization raises compensation less than the economys raising inflation rates. Never a positive conversation with management. Always tactics of fear mongering used to motivate.
