If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at City of Philadelphia?
offering various incentives to keep employees motivated and ready to work as hard as they need to, while at the same time letting employees know that they are valued and appreciated
Have more of a path for growth at least in OIT. We have a ton of great people working for the city but we train them and give them all of these tools and they leave for money. We have no real path to retain talent so that would be something I would fix.
How's the work life balance at City of Philadelphia?
it depends on where you work...some positions work harder than others
pretty great. Like any job there will be times where you may need to work late, but with the flex time you can just leave a little earlier if you worked late.
How does City of Philadelphia make decisions around promotions?
you are evaluated every year on your performance as it pertains to your position
Has to be submitted in the budget request for that FY, then the higher ups discuss the promotion/raise and will either go with the request or deny it.
