I worked with the Federal Sector. The work balance was average, but you are expected to participate in firm projects outside of your normal client project/assignment, which can be overwhelming at times depending on the firm initiative. So, it's sorta like a part-time job, especially if the project involves proposal preparation/submission. Also, if you don't participate with firm projects, your annual pay raise will be small or you won't get one at all. Outside of this scenario, the work/life balance is average. Oh, and you are made aware of this expectation during the interview process.
Work life balance isn’t a thing anywhere. Sometimes there’s more work, sometimes there’s more life. It ebbs and flows.
terrible. you get loads of vacation time but if you actually used it you would get poor performance ratings.
Good PTO, but not encouraged to work from home
