
Merit increases occur annually and are effective July 1 of each year. Off cycle raises are also possible, though there are various HR approval gates one’s supervisor must champion. If you receive an off cycle increase in compensation, your next on cycle increase will be prorated. For example, if you receive an increase in October, then your next July increase will be prorated by (8/12).
