The family atmosphere. We're a place where everybody knows everybody and we all treat each other like family.
I like that we are technically a large "corporation business" but at the same time we are just the nice Country Store down the road.
I would probably say updating some of the electronic equipment; such as the credit/debit card readers, the gas pumps, and maybe some of the appliances in the kitchen.
I like that they all communicate well with one another and with us employees. They are open and honest about things and are just as willing and likely to give you positive feedback or encouragement as they are constructive criticism.
That it felt relaxed and comfortable. They were actually trying to get to know me and tell me about themselves, while at the same time, asking professional interview questions. It was a personal interview that allowed for other conversation throughout.
For me, it's just getting to be around people who are familiar and to carry on conversations with them. I like knowing what someone wants or needs and being able to help them find/obtain that thing. I love talking to the regulars and meeting new faces!
I think it's how they individualize it for me. And for each employee. They take into consideration your financial situation and how well you do your job and then fairly judge how much and when to compensate you. They are always giving opportunity to improve and earn rewards/raises.
That we are like a family. We all work well together and can both compliment and critic one another on the job. We support each other in and out of the workplace. And we are always looking out for one another. We succeed more when we work as a team!
