Their availability and desire to listen. I feel when I chat with our leadership team, my conversation is the only thing on their minds. It is not rushed or minimized. Reasons are given when things may not be done. Very refreshing.
For some companies culture isn't something that remote employees experience. FaceFirst took steps to make me feel welcomed when I arrived, thus introducing the culture. Being a smaller company, I have gotten to know my colleagues faster and better. The culture does extend beyond the main office.
This may sound odd, but the length of the process. It was refreshing to hear so many people talk so well about the company and their teams. Usually a lengthy process isn't good for an interview. When an offer was made, I had enough good conversations to move forward with my decision to accept.
Commitment to the success of company and to the team. I know they have my back. I know it sounds cliche-ish but it is very true. Being a remote employee for over decade, I have been with places where remote employee are on an island with little support. That is not the case here, huge difference.
