
Depends on how much you care about your career. You are on call at the exec level. You are on a weekly schedule as an associate and that changes every week so it’s hard to plan on either scenario. Nordstrom does this much better than we did.
For full time sales associates shifts can be too long on your feet all day and can leave you too depleted to have much energy for off time.
As a manager, it is hard to work a 40 hour week. The workload dictates working long hours and coming in another day sometimes.
Work/life balance is poor. Minimum nine to ten hours a day doesn't leave much time to enjoy family
