It doesn't really mean much to be a good sales person at Macy's unless you are in a commissioned area. They are more focused on getting people rung out at the register than anything. And opening charge cards.

The sales team care more about staying put at the register to ring up customers then coming out from behind the register to greet customers, assist customers in their findings.
