    Pretty hard if management is not fond of you or they see you as someone there to fill everyone else's scheduled time off. The branch I've been in hasn't posted a position opening, instead they have taken in transfers to fill openings. If you're a long tenure employee wanting to move up this process sends your overall morale into a spiral.

    It's all office politics and a friend circle. behind closed doors they will mislead and lie to you while giving the promotion away to a friend.

    People don't get fired or let go so it is harder to move up
