It's all office politics and a friend circle. behind closed doors they will mislead and lie to you while giving the promotion away to a friend.

  • People don't get fired or let go so it is harder to move up

  • Pretty hard if management is not fond of you or they see you as someone there to fill everyone else's scheduled time off. The branch I've been in hasn't posted a position opening, instead they have taken in transfers to fill openings. If you're a long tenure employee wanting to move up this process sends your overall morale into a spiral.

  • The amount you accrue is decent after your 3 year mark. Good luck getting any of your requested leave approved though.

Very much so, I have switched three times, and not due to bad bosses, but because I wanted to have new experiences and growth opportunities and in every situation my leadership has been very supportive - just be sure you tell your boss what your goals are - be very upfront with where you want to go. They will help you. People at NFCU want you to succeed - Yes every company has bad seeds but trust me just try another department - there is a reason people stay at NFCU for 30 years

  • It seems really great - we had an intern who we then hired full time on our team, we all take her under our wing to make sure she gets the training she wants - it's not the type of company where interns run and get you coffee, they do actual work in their field of interest and there is tons of growth opportunities - even if it's not a role you are interested in people will help you get where you want to go
