The leadership is very bad. Bad decisions and self sabotage, yet they never take accountability and somehow these massive bonuses keep getting handed out to them. The fact is that folks like the CEO, new COO, and new CTO have navigated the pandemic with supreme incompetence. Culture is a train wreck

Incompetante middle managers. Company has no direction.

Amazing environment, and the company actually cares for its employees

Poor day to day management but Root has their hearts in the right place. Need to have more experienced people in charge.

I think they are passionate about building something lasting, valuable, good for our customers. I think they really care about our people and our customers, even if they have not cracked the nut for how to design our operational and decision making systems around those values quite effectively yet.

Inexperienced. Incompetant. Directionless. Discriminatory. Cronyism.

Employee support is a priority

Care about the individual employees.

For the very first time in this industry, I genuinely believe the leadership team and founders of Root care immensely about the employee experience, and that is super satisfying..

Stop trying to hack the industry and actually focus on things that work. Learn how to price and underwrite properly instead of lighting money on fire by banking on tech that isn't ready yet. And quit trying to get people to worship you. The only thing you've accomplished is fooling investors.

On par with other companies. Unlimited vacation only available to some departments.

401k Contribution is very generous.

It was obvious from the get-go, Root values acquired talent. The salaries offered are the most competitive in the industry.

We're like a close-knit family and maybe it was just happenstance that it worked out that way, but something about loving your job and the company you work for, brings people together even if they're very different personalities.

We need experienced leaders not promoted friends.

Everyone is always willing to help.

Root is a very progressive, tech driven, and innovative company. It's unlike any insurance company in the industry; it brings the collaborative and fun culture from the tech world into the traditionally boring and stressful world of insurance. It's great.

Actually put value in your people. Quit giving millions of dollars to execs running the company into the ground and then laying everyone off.

Interviewing was Qiuck and easy.

I immediately connected with the interviewers and I could tell they enjoyed their job.

The culture, the potential, and the camaraderie.

The company has yet to make a profit or develop valid processes to stop the bleeding. Middle managers have no idea what they're doing.

Customers are not served in a timely manner. Looked at as inconveniences.
