We have ~20 paid leave days at our disposal and are encouraged to take all of them. Parents can feel comfortable using all of their allocated parental leave without feeling like they're abandoning their teams.
I like that the leadership team has shown more and more investment in meaningful changes to improve the employee experience--less focus on fancy parties and more focus on tangible benefits and space to create a genuine work-life balance mid-pandemic.
I like feeling secure that I can finish my day's work and completely disconnect. No one expects me to log on after hours or on weekends unless it is an emergency, and in my role such emergencies are very infrequent.
We are a friendly and mutually supportive team that also has appropriate boundaries--we no longer describe ourselves as a "family", which I think is a toxic startup trait, but we respect one another as people and make a point to be friendly and supportive.
