All of my co-workers are nice, hardworking, and overall great humans. Everybody is very understanding of each other and nobody really gossips. Many of us do bond over how frustrating our jobs are and much we do not like working here.
Empower employees to make decisions by defining the decision making process and identifying when decisions can be delegated. Trust your employees and create a safer environment for us to take risks and try new ideas. Stop lip service and show that you care by increasing pay, vacation, and benefits.
The quality of our products is BAD because we are not given the resources to do higher quality work. There is a clear problem of valuing quantity over quality. We are assigned too many projects with unrealistic deadlines and should devote resources to fix the backend systems instead of new projects.
Higher pay is #1. However, we also do not have the resources to do our jobs well. Our support departments are understaffed and do not have the resources to accomplish what is being asked of them. Also, I'd feel better about my pay if I wasn't constantly asked to do things outside my job description.
