U.S. Department of Agriculture Compensation Employee Reviews

What is the best part about your compensation package?

Paid time off, life insurance, awesome insurance copay

The 401K match and the variety of health insurance options.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Unequal pay for 2 of 6 Editors doing the same work. I have 2 extra duties (website setup and updates, and colorization of maps.) I had to figure out how to use Adobe Illustrator and the govt web software. I want equal pay, but the new director told me no last December. There’s more, but I can’t ..

As an employee of the federal government, you answer to whatever administration is in power. Trump's administration has an agenda of deregulation which can harm the general public more than help. Government employees are not compensated competitively like private industry.
