Depends on your center and role. In my center and role, there is basically none. I work 3 out of 4 weekends, 1pm to 10pm, most holidays (at double time and a half), and trades are quite difficult to obtain until you have seniority. Scheduling is all based this way, and contracts for scheduling are done by local unions--in that regard my local union always gets the worst draw. Some centers get 6 weekends in a row off, then 6 Sats on, then 6 Suns on, some departments are Mon-Fri only. It all depends.
Terrible. You are expected to answer calls and emails late into the night and early morning. Working from home is considered slacking off by some leaders.
In myexperience, I really could not ask for a better balance. VZW at least, offers several options including flex, paid time off, etc. to get the time you require.
It depends on management. Some managers are very good at ensuring you have a good work life balance. Others expect longer hours in the office and weekend responses.
It varies - depends on what you do, and which products & services your role is engaged with.
It is very fair. Over 100 miles from office I drive in 4 times per month.
I don't know of a company that does it better
