It varies from store to store. Most coworkers are great team members
Employees are overworked. If you call in sick one day it can put the department back for several days. There needs to be more wiggle room.
Some positions are paid fairly well such as bakery managers or Meat Managers but others like the Deli Manager are way underpaid for the amount of work that they do. It seems somewhat arbitrary.
Vons can be an ok place to work if you have a good enough manager. The problem seems to be that the company is too big and people at the top have no idea what to do for the lower levels of the company.
