I love working at A Place for Mom because of the culture of my individual team (content/marketing), not because of the culture of the company as a whole. While we DO help people, I feel like the balance is often off with sales focus vs. human focus. That said, I get to excel at what I love daily.
What makes you most happy at work?
Creating great content and working with other people who have the same goals.
What are some of the best things about your team?
I LOVE my team. Seriously, I think company culture and compatibility are carefully considered by both Zach and Haines with all new hires and our team benefits so much from that dynamic.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Honestly, the people I work with day-to-day contribute to a strong, invested culture. I often feel like the sales teams don't feel the same way and that's clear on town halls, but I'm very happy with my individual group.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
The ability to move up. My starting salary was average at best, but after a year and a half I received a raise that I felt was a much closer match to my daily responsibility. Very happy my managers were able to secure that, as it's absolutely a way to keep passionate, invested employees.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I love working for Tatyana and Zach. They're strong leaders with a clear vision who clearly support their teams. I can't speak to other direct reports, since I haven't worked with them 1:1. I do think Larry could do a better job understanding our role as a content team, as evidenced by his OP visit.
