What do you like best about the leadership team?

Leadership has a clear vision of where they want to take the company and are always innovating to make sure employees have the tools and resources to be successful. They are very open to new ideas and believe in one single supportive team.

The leadership team does keep us posted at the Town Halls and that is something that I'm grateful for. It is helpful to see what happens at all levels of the company.

Our leadership team here at A Place for Mom provides clear goals and objectives and is genuinely concerned about their employees well-being. This concern motivates me to work towards the goals of the company.

You cut my salary and told me that I would make it back with the bonus program. You changed the bonus program 3 times since I started 4 years ago. You grossly underpay employees. I have no room for advancement and I'm in a dead-end job.

What is the best part about your compensation package?

I love that commission is not capped. Your achievements are rewarded. The more successful you are, the more you earn.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

The benefits we received are mostly okay, however, I feel the health insurance provided by Cigna is not providing the same coverage as other health insurance carriers. Example: Rx coverage, an Rx that I've taken for years that has been covered by our health insurance carriers, is now not covered.

sales quotas do not match overarching yearly goals

You need to raise base salaries back to industry standards for account managers and restructure your bonus program with targets to reflect historical performance and seasonality. Also, stop giving us busy work like "your action plan tracker". Sue Johansen is not an inspirational leader and is cold.

APFM uses a blanketed approach in salary wages for certain roles. Factoring in geographical areas and their cost of living would make more sense in my professional opinion.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Team Reviews

Everyone has a positive attitude and are supportive. Team members are always happy to answer a question or provide guidance. We truly care about each other's success.

Our team consists of mostly new team members, but we make a wonderful team! Each one of us is willing to jump in and help where needed, none of us are afraid to help anywhere. We enjoy getting to know each other, but also working hard!

They all hate the bonus program and feel that we are not compensated well. If I need a vent session, I have plenty of people to choose from.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

Continuing to work towards a Single Supportive Team! I truly enjoy working towards one common goal. I like helping seniors, even though it is indirectly.

We still need to grow our company culture; however, Larry and the ELT have done a good job since 2020 to improve the overall culture of APFM.

My team. We have the best random conversations. It's fun.

What needs to change to make the company culture better?
