I've spent almost a decade here so far and it's hard to imagine what it would take to make me want to leave. I'm old enough to know that the grass is not always greener. I also know that regardless of what obstacles we face daily that if we all help each other we can overcome.
What makes you most happy at work?
Feeling like I come in everyday and make a difference - both for the company and in the lives of the people I manage.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team is like my family. From the people I manage to the people I work with - I feel like they care about me and know me as a person. I feel comfortable enough here to be my true authentic self.
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I do appreciate the improvements to my own pay but sometimes I wish I had more opportunities to reward my team or make recommendations that directly impact their pay. Incentive or lead role opportunities would be nice to have as a carrot to dangle.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
We encourage people to be themselves and make efforts to get to know people. I know not every manager is equal but I've been so fortunate to have the best people work for me and around me. I miss my co-workers and team when I work remotely.
What do you like best about the leadership team?
I like the renewed focus on "servant leadership" and the positive vibes they have been putting out into the company culture. I greatly appreciate that Ken has made efforts to shadow with all the parts of the business to get to know it better. Our leaders are approachable and open to feedback.
