Premier Inn – The worst company to work as a housekeeper for. Between rude supervisors/management, borderline scam "we don't do 0hrs" contracts, out of touch standards for employees and cost cutting measures everywhere you turn, this job is unbearable. I cannot wait to leave this horrendous company. | Comparably

What makes you most happy at work?

Clocking out and leaving, except even then it's not over as you'll have supervisors and managers messaging Whatsapp group chats hours after the shift

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

Housekeepers are the most important members of staff as without us they wouldn't have the rooms to sell, and yet housekeepers are the least paid members of staff at Premier Inn. I've known FOH breakfast staff to be on better hourly pay than me, as are the night staff

What did you like most about the interview process?

The interviews are fine for housekeeping. If you go for a head housekeeper position though they like to ask you stupid and irrelevant questions that have nothing to do with the job itself. I would say when going for an interview bare in mind that their contracts are deceiving.

What do your coworkers need to improve and how could you work together better?

This is entirely dependant on the person. I've had lazy coworkers who don't pull their own weight, but I've also had great coworkers who work really hard. There is no such thing as working together though at Premier Inn, everyone is given their own separate lists and you hope and pray it goes smooth
