I love the work because I work well under pressure. There are some things that are not right when it comes to being fair and some others make you feel as if you don't matter and they look over what you say. I am disappointed that a difference is made in color, and gender. It's here just not regarded
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
I have my co-worker that I talk to daily and we work together as a team. We keep each other grounded and my team has my back. I have shown them that I am there for them. We laugh, but we also work hard.
What makes you most happy at work?
I am most happy when everything runs smooth and the team is on point making no mistakes. I am also happy about my co-workers because I am able to help them and train them to be better than they were yesterday. Our foundation is built on trust.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Communicating/listening because everyone can learn from someone. Listen to others ideas and don't pass them off as your own. Take the ideas & implement them, you just may find out that it will be effective in the work setting. Give everyone a fair chance no matter the color or gender.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
There is no incentive or bonus for what we do best on a daily basis. No real acknowledgement. My degree was looked over and I was put in a lower rank and I am qualified in other areas. Women are the most overlooked in the workplace especially women of color. Our contributions are disregarded.
What are some of the best things about your team?
My team listens and have come to be better at their work efforts because I show them that I care. We use affirmations daily to create a positive atmosphere. When they are down I am there for them. We work together to get the job done and we are the best at what we do.
