Great mission, DEI initiatives, but shifting toward a business instead of an education model. I would love to see less emphasis on KPIs for mentors that are influenced by factors that are out if the mentor's control, like student readiness and region. Moving away from good work/life balance, sadly.

My teammates, inmediate leader, and their supervisor are amazing. I love my students!
What is the best part about your compensation package?
I have health insurance. It isn't great, but it is something. I can tell that WGU is working to support families more.
What makes you most happy at work?
Problem solving, working with students, creating, some control over my calendar. Inmediate supervisor who does not micromanage and helps me grow. Great team.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Smart people who truly care about students. We are stifled by large caseloads and disfunctional Field Experience processes. Still, individual mentors tend to be fantastic.
