According to Millions of Employee Ratings
The 6th annual list of Best Companies for Career Growth from Comparably (now a ZoomInfo company) recognizes the top-rated companies for professional development, according to those who know best – current employees. Over the past year, workers from tens of thousands companies anonymously provided feedback to multiple questions about their meaningful opportunities for career growth and development. Detailed methodology, including questions, is outlined below the list.
Given the recent job market stats and that more than half of all employees surveyed on Comparably.com say their companies are not invested in their career growth, the list this year is even more relevant than ever.
Segmented by both large and SMB companies, the Top 25 companies in each size bucket are listed below. The complete list of winners is available here.

Methodology
Comparably’s 6th annual list of Best Companies for Career Growth is based solely on ratings provided by current employees who anonymously rated their professional development opportunities on Comparably.com over a 12-month period (May 15, 2022 through May 15, 2023). Sample questions include:
o Are you challenged at work?
o How often do you get valuable feedback on how to improve at work?
o Do you have a mentor at work?
o How often do you receive valuable feedback from your manager?
o Does your current company provide meaningful opportunities for career advancement?
The answer to each question was given a numerical score and then compared to companies of similar size. There were no fees or costs associated with participating, nor was nomination required. The final data set was compiled from 20 million ratings across 70,000 North American companies.
To qualify, Large companies (more than 500 employees) must have met a minimum of 75 employee participants and Small/Mid-Size companies (500 employees or less) needed a minimum of 25 employee participants. For fairness and statistical significance, additional weight was given to companies with more participation from their employee base.
